Mangalyam Bridal Show

Mangalyam Me & You is a South Asian company providing an online listing of wedding vendors. It also provides the listing in printed form through their Mangalyam Magazine. However, this was their first year hosting a bridal show, which took place at Le Château Royal. Although the fashion show started at 4 PM, various exhibitors were present as early as noon.

Parking & Entrance
My friends and I got there at about a quarter to 4 PM. The hall's parking lot was full but we parked in the parking lot of the building next to it.
And we finally entered Le Château Royal...

We already had our tickets, so we simply presented them and went upstairs to leave our jackets at coat check.
We came back down and saw a table with a cake and various desserts. Everything looked delicious! Sadly they were for decorating purposes only.

Entrance to the Show

There were no seats left when we got there. Unlike us, many people got there early to reserve seats. We were expecting it to be full and we even tried to get there a little earlier but it just didn't happen. Oh well! Hopefully next year!

Before I get into the show itself, here are some details and/or photos of the people who made it all happen: organizer, coordinators, hosts, models, volunteers, photographers etc.

Organizer: Jeetha Sasi, founder of Mangalyam Me & You, was the main organizer. Her hard work and dedication seem to have paid off as her first bridal show was a success and had a great turnout.
Fashion Coordinators: These coordinators ensured the fashion show went on smoothly:
    • Janani S.
    • Shana G.
    • Shamini R.
    • Zamia K.

Models: There were about 100 models in total. Each fashion vendor had a number of models. Each of them did a great job representing designers' clothes/jewelry.

Make-up artists/Hairstylists: Since all eyes were on the models, they needed some help of make-up artists and hairstylists to make them look flawless.

Hosts: These two hosts kept the crowd entertained.
    • Johny H.
    • Venoth N.

    Vendor booths

We got there a little late, so didn't really get to visit many booths.

But here's another video by Video Maruty that features some of the vendor booths, behind the scenes, etc.

The exhibition area got very busy right after the show...

But it cleared up after some time, so that's when we got to check out few more booths.

      Mangalyam Magazine

On our way out, we picked up the third edition of Mangalyam Magazine
Their large poster certainly grabbed my attention. I also like the idea of placing the magazines on a table near the exit so people can easily grab one before leaving.
